Donald Trump Responds To Taylor Swift Endorsing Kamala Harris By Selling Eras Tour Campaign Merch

In a move that screams PETTY, Donald Trump has decided to cash in on Taylor Swift‘s cultural cachet by hawking knockoff Eras Tour merch.

This comes hot on the heels of Swift’s endorsement of Kamala Harris for president, sending shockwaves through MAGA nation and leaving Trump seemingly butt hurt AF.

Swift’s endorsement of Harris came as a surprise to some, especially after she was spotted hugging known Trump supporter Brittany Mahomes just days earlier. But the singer made it clear where her political allegiances lie, declaring on Instagram that she’ll be casting her vote for Harris and running mate Tim Walz in the 2024 election.

“I think she is a steady-handed, gifted leader and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos,” Swift said about Harris in her Instagram Post.

Swifties were quick to rally behind their queen, with over 400,000 people flocking to Vote.gov within 24 hours of her post. Meanwhile, Trump supporters were left crying into their MAGA hats, with some taking to social media to declare they were “breaking up” with Swift.

Not one to miss an opportunity to grift, the Team Trump X account posted a caption that read, “Calling all Swifties for Trump,” along with a photo and link to purchase a “Trump Era White T-shirt”.

Priced at $36, the design is a rip-off of Swift’s verified Eras Tour T-shirt, featuring a black-and-white photo of Trump plastered on top of a colorful grid of other Trump pics.

This isn’t the first time Trump has tried to ride Swift’s coattails. Last month, he shared AI-generated images falsely depicting Swift as endorsing his campaign. Spoiler alert: she wasn’t impressed.

Swift called out the misinformation in her endorsement post and said, “It really stirred up my concerns about AI and the risks associated with the dissemination of false information.”

In the immortal words of Swift herself, Trump needs to calm down and is simply being way too loud with this move. Neither Swift or her team has reacted to the merch knock-offs yet, but given her history of claiming what is rightfully hers, I think we can expect a response soon.
