Donald Trump Launches Diamond-Encrusted Watch Collection

Donald Trump, in his third campaign for president, has ventured into a new business endeavor by launching the 'Official Trump Watch Collection,' featuring diamond-encrusted watches. The collection includes a high-end model priced at $100,000, adorned with 122 diamonds on its bezel and available in three 18-karat gold styles. Another model, named 'Fight Fight Fight,' is listed at $499.

Since the commencement of his 2024 White House campaign, Trump has introduced a range of branded products, aligning with his practice of merging political and business interests. The timing of this launch, just 40 days before Election Day, raises concerns about potential criticism regarding the monetization of his campaign, especially as he critiques Vice President Kamala Harris for being disconnected from Americans' economic challenges.

While the sales websites clarify that proceeds do not directly benefit Trump or his campaign, they mention that each product is subject to a 'paid license agreement.' This mechanism has enabled Trump to profit from various sales ventures even before his entry into politics, such as water, vodka, and steaks.

Recently, Trump announced the sale of $100 silver coins featuring his face and promoted a 'God Bless the USA Bible' for $59.99, inspired by Lee Greenwood's patriotic song. He also unveiled Trump-branded sneakers at 'Sneaker Con' for $399 and ventured into NFTs, earning between $100,000 and $1 million from digital trading cards.

Some items, including coins, sneakers, and Bibles, are affiliated with CIC Ventures LLC, a company owned by Trump. The watches, covered by a licensing agreement, are sold by TheBestWatchesonEarth LLC, emphasizing that proceeds do not benefit Trump's campaign or organization and are intended for personal enjoyment rather than investment.

Despite a recent civil fraud judgment against Trump, the watches are marketed under a licensing agreement for the use of his name, image, and likeness. The Trump campaign and TheBestWatchesonEarth LLC have not provided immediate responses to inquiries regarding the licensing deal.
