DONALD Trump has bid “good riddance” to Nicola Sturgeon following her resignation as he labelled her a “failed woke extremist”.
The former president also accused Sturgeon of fighting him over his golf courses in Scotland.
It was recently revealed that the company which owns Trump’s Ayrshire golf course posted a more than £15 million loss in 2021.
In a statement, Trump said: “Good riddance to failed woke extremist Nicola Sturgeon of Scotland!

“This crazed leftist symbolizes everything wrong with identity politics. Sturgeon thought it was OK to put a biological man in a women’s prison, and if that wasn’t bad enough, Sturgeon fought for a ‘Gender Recognition Reform Bill’ that would have allowed 16-year-old children to change their gender without medical advice.”
The First Minister announced she would stand down during a press conference at Bute House on Wednesday.
Trump’s statement continued: “I built the greatest golf properties in the world in Scotland, but she fought me all the way, making my job much more difficult.
“The wonderful people of Scotland are much better off without Sturgeon in office.”
There are a number of candidates who could replace Sturgeon as the party’s leader with the SNP confirming on Wednesday that nominations are now open.
It is not yet known when the First Minister will officially step down and, with no obvious successor waiting in the wings, it is expected the party will face its first proper leadership election in nearly 20 years.
