US President Donald Trump may have been enjoying a day out at the Super Bowl but that didn’t stop the pettiest president in history from finding time to sneak in a cheeky dig at ol’ nemesis Taylor Swift.
The pair were both in attendance at the Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans on Monday where the Philadelphia Eagles faced off against the Kansas City Chiefs.
And while Trump was received by a round of applause at the Caesars Superdome, Swift — who was there to support her beau and Chiefs Tight End Travis Kelce — was met with a sea of boos when the camera caught her sitting in her suite.
The secondhand embarrassment continued as the camera stayed on her and flashed her name onscreen before finally moving on 10 whole seconds later.
The side-eye, the slow glance to Ice Spice… Yeah, it was all kinds of awkward, to say the least.
Of course, the 47th President of the United States seemingly couldn’t resist a dig of his own.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump shared a video of Swift’s reaction to the unwelcoming reception alongside footage of himself and daughter Ivanka Trump coming into a much warmer welcome.
It didn’t stop there because he went on to share a post by far-right account Libs of TikTok which pointed out the not-so-warm reception.
“The world is healing!” the tweet read.
The president followed this with another tweet, pointing out Swift must’ve been having a rough night.
Trump, never one to hold back a jab, has quite a history with the “All Too Well” singer.
You’ll remember he went all-out petty after she endorsed Kamala Harris during the presidential race last year, declaring, “I hate Taylor Swift.”
Prior to this, Swift had also thrown her support behind President Joe Biden in the 2020 presidential race against Trump.
And who can forget the bizarre AI-generated images he posted to Truth Social, showing Swifties wearing T-shirts that read “Swifties for Trump”?
Trump is notably the first sitting president to ever attend a Super Bowl in person — and it’s something Swift’s boyfriend Kelce even pointed out last week.
“I’m excited because it’s the biggest game of my life, you know, and having the president there – it’s the best country in the world, so it’d be pretty cool,” Kelce told reporters.
Wonder what he’d be thinking about this one.
