Donald Trump appeared to reveal his true height is one inch shorter than his doctors previously reported during his time as the President of the United States, when he appeared in court this week.
During his arraignment at a Manhattan courthouse on Tuesday, over his 34 alleged counts of falsifying business records, Trump stated that he is 6 feet and 2 inches tall and weighs 240 pounds.
These measurements were recorded in the online booking system.
However, this height measurement is one inch shorter than what his doctors previously recorded in 2020 during his time in the White House, when he was listed as being 6 feet and 3 inches tall and weighing 244 pounds.
It is possible that his height may have changed since his last medical examination, or that there was a discrepancy in the measurements.
With a Body Mass Index (BMI) of 30.8, Trump falls into the clinically obese category according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention metrics.
Donald Trump was formally charged with 34 alleged felonies relating to falsifying business records around hush money payments during the 2016 presidential campaign.
He pleaded not guilty to all the charges during an appearance in the Manhattan Criminal Court on Tuesday.
He surrendered to the office of Manhattan district attorney Alvin Bragg upon arrival at the court, was arrested and fingerprinted in a room on the seventh floor of the courthouse building, and provided personal information, including his height and weight, as part of the routine booking process for those charged with criminal offences.
Meanwhile, during his arraignment, his campaign began promoting a new T-shirt featuring a fake mugshot of him emblazoned with the phrase "NOT GUILTY."
Even though he wasn't photographed for a mugshot during his arrest, his campaign team tried to profit off his indictment, by selling the T-shirts for $47 each on his online merchandise store.
And on the fake mugshot picturing him in front of the typical height measurement, he looks as if he is even taller, around 6 feet and 5 inches.
The T-shirt promotion and the fact that he presented himself as taller than he actually is, sparked an uproar of commentary across social media and other media channels.
