Donald J. Trump congratulates Chiefs after victory over Bills in AFC Championship Game

The Kansas City Chiefs earned high praise from United States President Donald J. Trump on Sunday night after their win over the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Championship Game.

Trump, who was recently sworn in as America’s 47th President, seemed to have watched the game and congratulated Kansas City on its win in a post to Truth Social before giving Buffalo credit for its outstanding 2024 campaign.

Though he didn’t go into detail about his current football fandom, Trump is a known football aficionado and is sure to have enjoyed the elite display of offensive prowess demonstrated by Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes throughout Kansas City’s win over the Bills.

It isn’t often that a sitting President comments on the Chiefs’ accomplishments, and Trump’s post serves as his first acknowledgment of the defending Super Bowl champions since he took office earlier this month.

Stay tuned to see what Trump will have to say about Kansas City’s matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX on February 9.
