“I’m happy with my win. It was my fifth win in 13 months in high-level (competition). But I’m not very happy with my performance. I can do way better than that. … But I showed today I can win fights even if the fight’s not going my way. If you see my last three fights, all were (decisions) and I never even got touched in my face. Today, I’m a little sore because I took some heavy shots.”

“Rematch? Are you crazy? There’s no way we can have a rematch. This guy was coming from a losing streak – he was like one and a half years without winning a fight. He lost to Gerald Meerschaert. He lost to me. There’s no point to having a rematch. … It’s disrespectful for him to even think about it.”

“I can call (out someone) right now. I want to fight Anthony Hernandez next. He’s coming from a three-(fight) winning streak. I’m coming from a three-(fight) winning streak. He finished Rodolfo Vieira, and I’m ready to show him some jiu-jitsu. I think he’s a good fight before I get into (fighting ranked) guys. … ”
