Don Mueang readies for direct Fukuoka flights

Thai AirAsia launches its inaugural flight to Fukuoka via Don Mueang. This route launch comes just in time with the further relaxation of travel protocols and visas for foreign travellers to Japan.

To celebrate Thai AirAsia's first direct flight to Fukuoka, Japan BIG members may avail of the promotional offering from as low as 3,690 baht per trip. Passengers can book now via AirAsia Super App.

Thai AirAsia operates the Don Mueang-Fukuoka route using 236-seat Airbus A321 aircraft. Hot meal and beverage services are made available on board. Ancillary products can also be booked.

Mercure, ibis to open dual-branded hotel

Accor has recently signed a management agreement for a new dual-branded hotel in Bangkok. Mercure & ibis Bangkok Siam Ratchathewi is slated to open in 2025 further strengthening the group's midscale and economy network in Southeast Asia.

Mercure & ibis Bangkok Siam Ratchathewi will be part of a vertical mixed-use development that includes offices and retail spaces. Strategically located at the Ratchathewi intersection, the hotel will enjoy direct access to the skytrain and great connectivity to major roads and expressways. The hotel is also just a few kilometres away from the Airport Rail Link to Suvarnabhumi International Airport.

The Mercure hotel will be comprised of 200 rooms complemented by the brand's authentic locally inspired experiences and decorative design. The ibis hotel will offer 154 rooms and an array of shared public areas including a restaurant, lobby bar and lounge, pool bar, swimming pool, gym, kids' club and two meeting rooms.

Accor currently operates 372 hotels in Southeast Asia, Japan and South Korea, with 83 hotels operating in Thailand under 11 brands. The group has 18 hotels currently under development in Thailand.

Six Senses reopens properties in Bhutan and Cambodia

Located in Bhutan's western and central valleys, each of the five Six Senses lodges has a unique character and interpretation of the country's spirituality, heritage and hospitality. The five properties are Six Senses Thimphu, Six Senses Punakha, Six Senses Paro, Six Senses Gangtey and Six Senses Bumthang.
