Former Everton star Don Hutchison has praised Vitalii Mykolenko for his recent form and role in the win against Leicester City.
The Blue left back has played a vital role in turning the season around as Frank Lampard's side look to stave off relegation. Sunday's 2-1 win over the Foxes moved the club up into 16th, two points above 18th-placed Leeds United who lost to Arsenal on Sunday. The Ukrainian opened the scoring before Patson Daka levelled up.
Defender Mason Holgate gave Everton the lead again, something they would hold on to earn all three points. Mykolenko was excellent throughout, a constant outlet for the Toffees as well as keeping Leicester at bay offensively. His performance was noticed by midfielder Hutchison, who spent two years at Goodison Park.

Hutchison named Mykolenko in his Premier League Fanzone Team of the Week and the BT Sport pundit said: “Mykolenko at left-back. Everton fans are loving him. Another great performance by him.”
Mykolenko joined the Toffees in January for £18million from Dynamo Kiev, a replacement for Lucas Digne who was sold to Aston Villa in the winter transfer window. After a slow start to life in the Premier League, the 22-year-old has now settled into life on Merseyside and is playing a key role as Everton look to stay in the Premier League.
