Former UFC bantamweight champion Cruz (24-4 MMA, 7-3 UFC) was last in action Aug. 13, 2022, against Marlon “Chito” Vera in the main event of UFC on ESPN 41. Cruz was knocked out in the fourth round, a result that halted the momentum of back-to-back wins over Casey Kenney and Pedro Munhoz in 2021. … Font (21-8 MMA, 11-7 UFC) has made four appearances since Cruz’s last fight. Over that time, Font has gone 2-2; a first-round stoppage of Adrian Yanez, decision losses to Cory Sandhagen and Deiveson Figueiredo, and most recently, a unanimous decision win over Kyler Phillips in October.
