Everton manager Frank Lampard has confirmed that Dominic Calvert-Lewin will miss Saturday’s trip to Bournemouth as he has three different injuries but Amadou Onana and Idrissa Gueye are both back in training and in contention to play at the Vitality Stadium.
The trio all went off in last weekend’s 2-0 home defeat to Leicester City.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Lampard said: “He (Calvert-Lewin) won’t be involved tomorrow. He’s got an injury and he’s had a few bangs to be fair to Dominic and he’s been playing with some bits so we hope that the break comes at a good time for him and we expect him back for Wolves on Boxing Day.”

Lampard also revealed that Calvert-Lewin has been playing with three different injuries. He said: “The hamstring’s a small injury, probably a 10-day injury as such which is slightly irrelevant now. The shoulder is a whack he took against Newcastle and then then had a recurrence against Fulham, he’s been strapped up a lot.
“It’s something that’s been looked at by a specialist yesterday and doesn’t need any surgery. He also still has the knee that he’s been getting through with some issues so the knee is probably the most-prominent injury that we want to get right as it’s a similar injury to the one he had before, it’s been aggravated, so this period gives us time to get it back right.”
Meanwhile, Lampard disclosed that midfield pair Onana and Gueye – who have been named in Belgium and Senegal’s World Cup squads respectively – are both in contention to return against the Cherries for the Blues’ crunch Premier League clash having missed the 4-1 Carabao Cup defeat to the same club on Tuesday. He said: “Yeah they’re fit, they trained.
“As long as we don’t have any issues in the next 24 hours in training today, they’ll be available.”
