A number of Everton players have already showed off their intense training regimes as they get in shape ahead of the 2022/23 Premier League season.
The Blues have been handed time off since their dramatic survival at the end of last season. Many, including manager Frank Lampard, jetted off on holiday while some took part in international football before being granted a break.
However, that will soon be coming to an end, with Everton due to return to Finch Farm to begin their pre-season training very soon. As of yet the club only have two friendlies announced over the course of the summer, but that will no doubt change over the coming days and weeks.

And some players have taken it upon themselves to make sure they are at a good level of fitness before they even return to the training complex by completing a number of drills towards the end of their holiday periods. Instagram posts and stories over the last 24 hours have shown multiple first team stars and some academy players honing their skills ahead of hoping impressing Lampard.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Tom Davies have been training together with a personal trainer in what looks to be warm weather. The pair, alongside former Everton academy man Josef Yarney, can be seen going through running drills and testing their quick feet before also working with a ball.
The trio go through a series of both long and short passing drills before taking a few shots into an empty net, in two short videos which were posted to each of Calvert-Lewin and Davies' Instagram stories on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Anthony Gordon also took the time to release some videos onto his social media account. There might be transfer rumours surrounding his future, with Spurs reportedly interested in his services, but that certainly doesn't seem to be concerning him right now.
The Everton winger is training alongside Liverpool's Curtis Jones as the two scousers both spend time in Los Angeles over the course of the summer. Gordon was in action for England under-21s earlier in the month, and it's yet to be seen if he might be afforded an extended break before returning to Finch Farm because of that.
But the 21-year-old is clearly making sure he's ready when the time comes for him to go back to training. His videos on Instagram show him taking part in a first-touch and finishing drill among what looks a well-organised set-up.
It's not only the senior stars who are doing everything they can to make sure they are prepared, however. There are also young players, potentially with their eyes on some first-team involvement over the course of the summer, who are putting the hard yards in before they're officially back with the club.
Mathew Mallon, fresh off a u-turn over his future, and Reece Welch have both been working together with a coach called Tom Owens - specialising in one-on-one and small group training for players. The pair shared videos on their Instagram stories on Tuesday taking part in some select drills seemingly working on their close control.
Both defenders could certainly have hopes of potentially impressing Lampard over the coming weeks and perhaps getting opportunities in at least one of the first team's pre-season matches, with more set to be announced in the near future.
