The Miami Dolphins have been looking for some extra help on the offensive line after center Connor Williams suffered a torn ACL in Monday’s loss to the Tennessee Titans.
On Thursday, they signed veterans Jonotthan Harrison and Matt Skura to their 53-man roster and practice squad, respectively.
With the extra depth, the Dolphins announced that they’re moving on from rookie center Alama Uluave.
Uluave, 24, was signed by Miami as an undrafted free agent out of San Diego State this past April. After the team traded Dan Feeney to the Chicago Bears, there was some belief that he was going to be the backup center.
The former Aztec was moved to the practice squad during roster cuts, and Liam Eichenberg eventually took over when Williams got hurt earlier in the year.
Releasing Uluave officially made room for linebacker Melvin Ingram to join the Dolphins’ practice squad.
