Dolphins re-sign OT Kendall Lamm

The 2023 league year is set to begin on Wedensday afternoon at 4:00 p.m. ET, but the Miami Dolphins have been active through the legal tampering window as well as with their own pending free agents.

On Wednesday, the team announced that they’ve re-signed offensive tackle Kendall Lamm. The terms of the deal are unknown, at this point.

Lamm, 30, was originally signed by the Houston Texans as an undrafted free agent in 2015 out of Appalachian State. After three years with Houston, he joined the Cleveland Browns for two years and spent 2021 with the Tennessee Titans. He signed with the Detroit Lions last offseason but was cut before the start of the year.

Miami signed Lamm to their practice squad in November, and he was promoted to the active roster the following month, as the team dealt with injuries at their tackle spots.

Last year, Lamm started just one game for the Dolphins, lining up at left tackle for their matchup with the New England Patriots. Unfortunately, he suffered an ankle injury that got him carted to the locker room before halftime.

Heading into 2023, the right tackle spot is up for grabs, with Austin Jackson the frontrunner at the moment. There’s no reason why Lamm couldn’t grab that spot and run with it to start the year.
