The Miami Dolphins made their cuts Tuesday and were fortunate to see not a single one of their waived players get claimed Wednesday. That means that, in all likelihood, the Dolphins have free rein to pick among their own scraps to construct a practice squad.
They could also, of course, sign players that spent August with another team and didn’t get scooped up Wednesday. But Miami will likely prioritize many of its own.
We’ll keep track of all the players the Dolphins reportedly add to the practice squad right here ahead of the eventual official announcement (listed alphabetically):
- QB Tim Boyle
- S Jordan Colbert
- WR D’Wayne Eskridge
- WR Erik Ezukanma
- DT Jonathan Harris
- OL Chasen Hines
- LB Dequan Jackson
- CB Isaiah Johnson
- DT Naquan Jones
- OT Bayron Matos
- RB Anthony McFarland Jr.
- CB Nik Needham
- TE Hayden Rucci
The Dolphins can add up to 16 players to their practice squad (17 if a player has an International Pathway Program exemption), but at least 10 have to be rookies or second-year players.
