The Miami Dolphins haven’t had the best luck with injuries this season, as many key contributors and depth players have missed time early on.
On Friday, the Dolphins announced some more bad news, as they placed running back Chris Brooks on injured reserve after he suffered ankle and knee injuries during the team’s Week 6 matchup with the Carolina Panthers.
Brooks joined the Dolphins as an undrafted free agent out of BYU after this year’s selection process. He’s played in every game this season, rushing for 94 yards on 6.3 yards per carry as well as contributing on special teams.
Miami now has just Raheem Mostert and Salvon Ahmed as healthy running backs on the 53-man roster. They do have options, though, as Jeff Wilson Jr. could come back from injured reserve this weekend and Jake Funk could be elevated from the practice squad.
