The Miami Dolphins are getting training camp started, but they’ll do so without veterans Odell Beckham Jr. and David Long Jr., who are both set to begin camp on the PUP list.
The Dolphins may move either player to the active roster at any point during training camp. Until they do, Beckham and Long may participate in meetings and use team facilities, but cannot practice with the team.
According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, Beckham is “working through minor things” and the Dolphins are just “easing him back into football.” The nature of Long’s injury isn’t clear.
Long joined the Dolphins as a free agent last offseason and finished his first season with the team with career-highs in tackles (113), tackles for loss (nine), and sacks (one). Beckham signed with the Dolphins earlier this year after spending the 2023 season with the Baltimore Ravens.
Beckham and Long join Bradley Chubb, Cameron Goode, Jaelan Phillips, and Isaiah Wynn on the PUP list.
