Last offseason, the Miami Dolphins made a couple of big splashes, including the signing of free agent left tackle Terron Armstead to a massive five-year, $75 million deal.
Unfortunately for the veteran, his first season in South Florida was plagued by injuries, as he dealt with ailing toe, knee, hip and pectoral issues throughout the year.
The 31-year-old still played 65% of the team’s offensive snaps, but he wasn’t as effective as he could’ve been.
Off the field, Armstead has continued to be an inspiration for others.
On Friday, during a celebrity basketball game, Armstead donated an electric bike to a young man who walked six miles to his eighth-grade graduation, as well as a Honda Odyssey to his family.

Armstead, and his foundation, have done great work with the youth in recent years, which included the building of the “Team Armstead Community Center.”
The Dolphins have become a franchise synonymous with charity, so it’s no surprise why he was seen as such a great fit for the team both on the field and off of it.
