The Miami Dolphins are sticking by quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, injury history and all.
The Dolphins told the former Alabama star they are picking up his fifth-year option, meaning they will be banking on Tagovailoa as their franchise QB for years.
Tagovailoa suffered multiple concussions in 2022 that derailed his season.
The Dolphins have to believe his health will stand the rigors of an NFL season since they are going to guarantee him $23.2M in 2023.

Tagovailoa is 21-13 as a starter for Miami, which made him the fifth overall pick in 2020. He has thrown for 8.015 yards with 52 TD passes against 23 interceptions.
