Late in the Miami Dolphins’ Black Friday victory over the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium, linebacker Jaelan Phillips suffered an Achilles injury that forced him to be carted off of the field.
It was a tough scene, as Miami appeared to have lost one of their best players in a game that they already had in hand.
Following the win, Phillips took to social media to share his reaction with fans.
Absolutely devastated, but I feel strength in knowing that this is all a part of God’s plan, and that I have an incredible team and support system around me. I’ll be back stronger than ever 💪🏽 Fins up 🐬🙏🏾

Head coach Mike McDaniel said they’d have more information tomorrow, but this seems pretty serious. If it’s torn, Phillips would likely miss the rest of this season and part of 2024.
