Dolphins LB Bradley Chubb suffered torn ACL, will miss the rest of the year

On Sunday, not only did the Miami Dolphins lost their battle with the Baltimore Ravens 56-19 at M&T Bank Stadium, but they also lost one of their best players.

Late in the fourth quarter with the team down by 30 points, Dolphins linebacker Bradley Chubb suffered a non-contact injury on a play where he was chasing Melvin Gordon.

While the team feared that the injury was a torn ACL, their fears were confirmed on Monday morning, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

The Dolphins have now lost both of their starting edge rushers, as Jaelan Phillips suffered a torn Achilles earlier in the year.

Without them, Miami will have to rely on Andrew Van Ginkel, Melvin Ingram and Emmanuel Ogbah to work on the edge. The Dolphins also have Cameron Goode, a 2022 seventh-round pick, who could help as well.

Chubb finishes his season with a career-high 74 tackles (29 for a loss), 22 quarterback hits, 11 sacks, a league-leading six forced fumbles and two passes defensed.
