Dolphins HC candidate Dan Quinn informs teams that he’s staying with the Cowboys

The Miami Dolphins are in the middle of their coaching search to find the man to replace Brian Flores as the leader of their locker room.

According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, their list of candidates has shrunk by one as Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator Dan Quinn will remain with the Cowboys.

Quinn interviewed with Miami last Wednesday along with Cowboys offensive coordinator Kellen Moore. However, he also had interviews with the Chicago Bears, Jacksonville Jaguars, Minnesota Vikings, New York Giants, and Denver Broncos.

With the Broncos hiring former Green Bay Packers offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett Thursday morning, that could have influenced Quinn’s decision to remain in Dallas.

Miami now has just six reported candidates left including Moore, Buffalo Bills offensive coordinator Brian Daboll, Bills defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier, Arizona Cardinals defensive coordinator Vance Joseph, Los Angeles Rams running backs coach/assistant head coach Thomas Brown, and San Francisco 49ers offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel.
