Dolphins free agent preview: What’s next for OT Greg Little

In less than a week, NFL teams can begin negotiating with and signing upcoming free agents at the start of the league year.

For the Miami Dolphins, 31 players from their 2022 roster are set to hit the market in some form or another – restricted, unrestricted or exclusive rights free agents. That includes offensive tackle Greg Little.

Little, 25, has spent the last two years with the Dolphins since being traded to South Florida from the Carolina Panthers for a seventh-round pick prior to the start of the 2021 season.

With Austin Jackson and Terron Armstead dealing with injuries this past season, Little was thrust into more playing time than normal. Pro Football Focus graded him as the worst offensive tackle in all of football (35.1 overall – 29.9 in pass protection and 41.7 in run-blocking).

While Miami is in need of some help at the position, specifically on the right side of the line, Little hasn’t done anything to prove that he’s deserving of a second contract in aqua and orange. There are plenty of suitable options for starters or depth in free agency and the draft.
