The Miami Dolphins have had one of the most prolific offenses in the NFL this year, but what they’ve been doing is historic.

On Sunday, the Dolphins set the NFL record for the most yards through a team’s first five games of a season, passing the 2,527-yard mark that the St. Louis Rams recorded in 2000.

The @MiamiDolphins have now broken the NFL record for most total yards in the first five games of a season.

The record of 2,527 was held by the St. Louis Rams in 2000.

The most impressive part of this record is that Miami accomplished this task with a full quarter left to go in their Week 5 matchup with the New York Giants.
