Running back Kareem Hunt’s return to the Kansas City Chiefs has made a splash beyond the franchise. Players around the league are taking notice of the signing and providing their commentary and personal connection.
Miami Dolphins All-Pro wide receiver Tyreek Hill has never been shy about voicing opinions on his former team. On Tuesday afternoon, he acknowledged the Chiefs’ recent signing of former 2017 draft pick Hunt to the practice squad.
“My boy Kareem back in kc I love it,” Hill posted on his X account.

Hill was Hunt’s teammate from 2017 to 2018. The offense heavily relied on the duo for then-quarterback Alex Smith and current starter Patrick Mahomes. The Chiefs made the postseason each year but could not reach the Super Bowl.
Hunt was released in late November of 2018 due to off-the-field issues, while Hill was traded before the start of the 2022 season. The reunion is notable since Hunt led the league in rushing during his rookie season with Kansas City, and there always appeared to be unfinished business with the franchise.
