What do Dollywood and our cookware have in common? They've both become a celebration of the country music star – and the latter is accessible far beyond Nashville. Parton has (once again) teamed up with Tennessee-born skillet-maker Lodge to celebrate their roots in a way that improves our culinary habits in the process.
'My cast iron cookware collection with Lodge is available now! Inspired by things that bring me joy and are made in Tennessee, just like me,' Dolly says.
The collection comprises four cast iron cookware pieces inspired by Parton's discography – meaning there are butterfly and guitar motifs in abundance. 'We partnered with the one-and-only Tennessee icon to create a collection of Dolly Parton cast iron. Bring a bit of Dolly flare to every meal with cast iron born to perform,' the brand adds. 'Featuring a naturally seasoned cooking surface made with just iron and oil, each piece is as cookable as it is collectible.'
While we're inevitably excited about Parton's new collection, it's worth noting that this isn't her first collaboration with Lodge. Following the 2016 wildfires across the East Tennessee region, they generated over $100,000 in relief funds for the singer's My People Fund.
We have waited eight years to reinvite Parton back into our kitchen, but now we have the opportunity once more. We're shopping the collection via Lodge below.
Drawing from the music and the butterflies that have always symbolized Dolly’s spirit, this 12-inch piece of cast iron encourages us to elevate our classic dishes and create new traditions.
This 10.25-inch skillet pays homage to the ways that Dolly inspires us to let our spirits soar. Celebrating the Tennessee icon, this piece features a striking profile view of Dolly looking at a butterfly in flight.
The largest of the skillets in the collection (13.25 inches), this piece is a nod to the Smoky Mountains, the region where Dolly grew up. It includes lyrics from Light of a Clear Blue Morning to bring Dolly’s trademark spirit to fans and chefs alike.
Complete with detailed guitar strings and Dolly’s iconic signature, this mini skillet is perfect for smaller bakes, but it looks just as good hung on our kitchen wall (as recommended by Lodge).
We've just found cookware worth stumbling into the kitchen for (but we recommend only using after a cup of ambition, naturally).
