Dolly Parton explained the secret to a successful marriage after spending almost six decades with her beloved husband Carl Dean.
The Jolene hitmaker, 76, has been married to Carl for 56 years and credits a special reason behind their forever blossoming love life.
She claims the pair have never had a "serious argument" and have never said anything during that row that they needed to "take back".
Explaining the reason behind their lasting love, she said: "We both have a warped sense of humour. And I think humour, honestly, is one of the best things when you're married."
She told ET Canada: "Even if you have a problem, if you have a great sense of humour, if you say something you can't take back [you] usually have some crazy way of getting out of it."
Dolly explained: "We've never had, you know, serious arguments to say bad things to each other we have to take back."
The 9 to 5 songstress also credited their ability to not get "in each other's faces all the time", which she said has really helped their long-lasting love.
Dolly said she and Carl will have "things we love to do together" despite him not being in showbusiness. "It was meant to be, he was the one," Dolly explained.
The revelations come after she scooped a $100million prize from Amazon founder Jeff Bezos for her "love and compassion in every aspect of her work".
The country music star was handed the Bezos Courage & Civility Award by the multi-billionaire and his partner Lauren Sanchez.
Lauren described Dolly as "a woman who gives with her heart and leads with love and compassion in every aspect of her work".
In a video clip from the award ceremony, Lauren added: "We can't wait to see all the good that you're going to do with this $100 million award."
The footage shows the moment shocked Dolly says: "Wow! Did you say $100 million?"
"I think people who are in a position to help should put their money where their heart is. I will do my best to do good things with this money," she added.
