Doja Cat Responds To Critics Of Her Natural Hair

Doja Cat Hits Back At Trolls For Comparing Her Natural Hair To “Pubic Hair” And “Popcorn”

Grammy-winning artist Doja Cat recently addressed derogatory remarks about her natural hair, encouraging her audience to 'move forward' and 'grow.' The comments arose after she shared the artwork for her upcoming single 'Masc,' featuring a closeup image of her tight blond curls.

Doja Cat, born Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini, responded to negative comments comparing her hair to objects like carpet, sheep's wool, pubic hair, and popcorn. She expressed disappointment at the pattern of such comments and emphasized the need to progress and evolve.

In an Instagram Live session, the rapper highlighted the hurtful comparisons her hair had received and disabled comments on her post following the negative turn of events. She urged for a positive shift in dialogue and emphasized personal growth.

Previously, Doja had faced criticism on social media, leading her to deactivate her account temporarily due to the negative interactions she encountered. She expressed concerns about the impact of online behavior on mental health and encouraged respectful communication.

Similarly, singer Lizzo, also known as Melissa Viviane Jefferson, shared her struggles with online negativity, stating that she was 'getting tired of being dragged' both online and in her personal life. Lizzo expressed a desire to focus on her music and spreading positivity but felt overwhelmed by the negativity she faced.

Both artists' experiences shed light on the challenges of navigating fame in the digital age and the importance of promoting kindness and empathy in online interactions.
