American rapping sensation and Say So hitmaker Doja Cat made a famous reporter rather uncomfortable at the Met Gala last night when she MEOWED constantly during an interview on the infamous steps.
Chatting to model and internet star Emma Chamberlain about her Choupette-inspired look, Doja - real name Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini - was unresponsive apart from meowing on Monday night.
Whenever the internet personality, 21, asked the American rapper, 27, questions about her ornate look for the theme of this year's gala - which was Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty - Doja meowed, which in turn left Emma uncomfortable according to one TikTok user.
Posting a video of the interview taking place on the Met Gala's iconic staircase after Doja posed up a storm for the paps, Emma asked her: "Okay, so tell me all about this?" referring to her outfit.
Doja's response was a simple "meow", which then sparked Emma to ask more questions, leading Doja to continue responding with a "meow".
Above the video was a short caption which read: "Doja Cat made Emma Chamberlain so uncomfortable [skull emoji]. She was keeping the whole time."
Many fans were in hysterics, with some agreeing that Emma appeared "uncomfortable" and many others saying that the social media sensational handled things well and could take the humour.
One person commented underneath the TikTok video and said: "Is Emma’s discomfort in the room with us right now?"
"Omg she’s so unserious," added a second about Doja's constant meowing.
"Doja did that with Emma bc she knew she could take the humour LOL relax," added a third.
A fourth person then said: "The second hand embarrassment I'm getting is unlawful."
While a fifth said: "Why did she keep asking questions?"
And a sixth added: "The second hand embarrassment I'm getting is unlawful."
Doja was channelling Karl Lagerfeld's beloved pet cat Choupette at the event that was held in memoriam of the late designer who died in 2019.
Dressed in a skin-tight silver and white frock, complete with a hood and cat ears, Doja even sported special effect makeup that made her look like a cat.
