Dog who needs wheelchair to get around is desperately searching for new home

He only has love to give - but has been struggling to secure a home due to his disability.

Poor Funjo lost the use of his back legs after sustaining a spinal injury - and now requires a wheelchair to get him from point A to point B.

The three-year-old, who is up for adoption with animal organisation Miracle's Mission, has been in foster care in Cumbria since January - but is ready to move in with his new owners.

A spokeswoman said: "Funjo is unable to use his back legs and uses wheels on walks but gets around well on his own at home.

"Funjo really loves people and relishes all the cuddles and attention he has been getting in his foster home - but he is looking for his forever home.

"His foster family say he is really easy going and loves his food. He arrived very underweight but is now filling out well.

"He really loves company and getting lots of fuss and attention. He is a very happy and playful boy.

"He currently lives with two other dogs who he gets on well with. He loves playing with his foster brother and snuggling in a cosy dog bed."

Although Funjo can get around on his own, he is incontinent and needs assistance from his owner to relieve himself.

"We are happy to discuss how this is managed with any potential adopters," the spokeswoman added. "Funjo is neutered and weighs approximately 25kg."

The crossbreed can be rehomed anywhere in the UK.

Established in 2015 by Victoria Bryceson, Miracle’s Mission is a UK registered animal welfare charity who work predominantly in the UK, Borneo and Egypt.

The charity is on a "mission to provide a place of safety for animals in danger, to educate on the needs of neutering both pets and strays and to neuter stray dogs and cats to prevent the birth of more animals onto the streets".

If you’re interested in rehoming Funjo, please contact Miracle’s Mission via info@miraclesmission.org . To support the charity, visit their website via www.miraclesmission.org.
