Dog wears £650,000 collar to mark new role with animal charity

Eleven ‘Soho Poms’ Pomeranians, have become charity representatives for the Kennel Club Charitable Trust alongside their owner, Nathalie Knauf. Natalie is the founder of luxury dog shampoo and accessory brand, Soho Poms.

She is also the owner of Knauf Jewels, a bespoke jewellery business, which is why Polly, had the honour of wearing the ‘Pomie Diamonds’ choker. The choker was commissioned by one of Nathalie’s clients, and is a flawless diamond necklace with paraiba tourmaline pear-shape pendant valued at £650,000.

Earlier this year, another of the Soho Poms, Misty, modelled a choker at Crufts. Since she was a young girl, dogs have played a huge role in Nathalie’s life, and now, after rescuing the eleven Pomeranians, she wants to make a difference to dogs in need across the country.

“I am thrilled to have become an Ambassador for the Kennel Club Charitable Trust”, said Nathalie. “Through my businesses, I can help raise the vital funds that we need to help dogs – whether it’s funding scientific research into canine diseases, or supporting street dogs and welfare organisations. For me, breed rescue is hugely important, and ensuring we do everything we can to prevent puppy-farming and the devastation it can cause.”

The Soho Poms will also be among the faces of the Trust’s Christmas Campaign this year, as it hopes to raise as much as £50,000 to distribute to dog charities across the UK in 2023. Amy Stevens, the Trust’s fundraiser, said: “Having Nathalie join as an Ambassador is such a huge boost to our fundraising. Soho Poms gifting a percentage of all product sales to the charity is a real example of philanthropy in action – a business stepping up to support a cause the owner cares about deeply.”

The Trust’s supporters will be seeing more of the Soho Poms throughout 2023, as the Poms, and their owner Nathalie plan future events to raise funds that will help dogs in need.
