A Kilmarnock dog owner has been worried sick since her puppy went missing a week ago.
Allison Gibb's 11-week-old dachshund Charlie escaped from her garden on Auchencar Drive last Tuesday around lunchtime, and since then she's barely been able to eat or sleep.
And after a week of frantic searching Allison has appealed to the public for their help to find her pooch.
She told the Kilmarnock Standard: “We think he’s escaped from the garden on to the Johnnie Walker Estate at the back of our house.
“I went round there and he was nowhere to be seen, I darted around neighbour’s houses and checked garages, huts, gardens and he wasn’t there.
“I then seen him at the top of the estate around 1.20pm on the Tuesday, I shouted him which I now know I shouldn’t have done.
“I u-turned in the car and we think he’s jumped into the bushes as there has been some potential sightings there.
“On Thursday a man is 100 per cent sure he saw Charlie near his house so we’re focusing on that area."
“I am worried sick, I’ve not been able to go to my work.
“My daughter and I have been doing overnights in the car, I’m hardly eating or sleeping, we’re constantly getting it out there on social media and we have search teams involved who’ve been involved all weekend.
“I’m offering a substantial award now in case there’s someone who has him in their house, he’s microchipped and we’re hoping by offering the award it can help.
“He’s just so small, he needs to come back to us."
A Facebook group dedicated to the search for Charlie is the best place for updates and to report any sightings.
