Dog food recall warning issued across UK

Fears a popular a dog food brand could contain pieces of metal have prompted a recall warning across the UK.

Dog owners are being urged to check if they have any of the affected tins. Anyone who does have them is being urged not to feed them to their dog.

Dog food manufacturer Encore has recalled its Beef Selection in Gravy multipack dog food as the Beef Steak with Potatoes in Gravy tin could potentially have small pieces of metal in. Sharp objects can potentially perforate a dog's intestines, and immediate veterinary care should always be sought if you suspect your dog has eaten even small bits of metal.
