The victim of a fatal dog attack was reportedly "agitated and struggling to control" animals in the days before she died. The woman was spotted by fellow dog walkers in the lead up to her horrific demise, reports the Mirror.
The unnamed 28-year-old was mauled to death by a pack of canines last week in Surrey. In the build-up to the incident on January 12, a couple who frequent Gravelly Hill believe they spotted the woman days prior.
The Telegraph reports that the pair claim that the dog walker appeared to not look in control of the animals she was walking. They allege that they encountered her as she had lost an eight-week-old puppy she was caring for.
The pair say she had asked them if they had seen the dog, as they described her as being "agitated" and "distressed". Alongside those claims, they couple say that she had gotten the seven other dogs she had with her into the boot and back seats of her car before searching for the missing pup.
The duo added that they were walking their dog in the same area of the attack just half an hour before the tragic incident. Following the attack, officers confirmed that eight dogs had been seized and are being kept in kennels while the investigation is ongoing.
Officials say that all of the dog's owners have been informed and no arrests have been made. Police say they have since carried out forensic work at the scene, which has now re-opened to the public.
