Emmerdale 's Harriet Finch and Kim Tate could be dead after a horror blast in the latest episode - but are they leaving the soap?
There has been no word on actresses Katherine Dow Blyton and Claire King's futures on the show, so it's not known if either or both are bowing out.
What is known is that both their characters are in grave peril, and the cliffhanger on Sunday night showed them looking lifeless following a quad bike crash, and an explosion.
With it being the 50th anniversary, and deaths confirmed by soap bosses, fans will no doubt be predicting one or both of the village residents are set to die.
Their fates remain top secret until Monday's episode, but it isn't looking good for either of them.
Recently, Harriet actress Katherine teased to The Mirror and other press that there could be "fireworks" ahead, while she said nothing to suggest she was bowing out, or that her character could meet a tragic end.
Kim actress Claire has been with the show on and off for over 30 years, so with it being the 50th could it be the end for the villain?
On the deaths ahead, producer Jane Hudson spilled to The Mirror recently: "We will be having some huge stunts, big emotional heartache, secrets, lies, comedy and sadly, some of the soap’s much-loved characters will sadly lose their lives."
Teasing more about how many characters could die, Jane remained coy over what would lead to the deaths.
She said: "It is always hard to kill a character as someone is losing their job. You don’t want somebody to lose their job.
"But the nature of soaps means if you want to introduce new characters, then you need to lose old ones. If you are going to do a death in the soap, it can’t be the postman who has had three lines because it doesn’t matter.
"A death has got to have an impact not just on the characters but also on the viewers watching. Each of our deaths will bring a different emotion."
