Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Tyler Anderson was the latest hurler to come so close to getting a no-hitter last night, as he entered the ninth with a shot at a no-no but then saw that get taken away thanks to a triple by Angels star Shohei Ohtani with one out in the final frame.
Anderson still got the win and improved to 8-0 in his first season with the Dodgers. The no-hitter would have been a pretty cool accomplishment, obviously, but it was also pretty cool how Dodgers fans went nuts for him as he walked off the mound after being pulled from the game.
