Opening Night of the 2023 season will be one to remember for a couple of Dodgers fans.
Let’s start with the fan sitting in left center field donning a Mookie Betts jersey, who thought it would be a good idea to run onto the field in between innings, whip out an engagement ring and get on one knee to propose to his partner sitting back in the stands.
Video was captured of the moment, in which the Dodgers fan proposing did his best impression of Adam Sandler in the hit comedy Anger Management.
There won’t be many proposals that will top this one, as it had a little bit of everything.
First, there was the trespassing of the fan. Second, he made it to the outfield and had enough time to get the engagement ring out and drop to a knee to propose.
But we haven’t even gotten to the best part yet. The security guard who was first on the scene made sure to make his presence felt, as he got a Pro Bowl-worthy tackle on film ahead of April’s NFL draft.
As it plays out, Diamondbacks outfielder Lourdes Gurriel can be seen putting his hands up to celebrate the Dodgers fan trespassing to pull off his iconic proposal.

Finally, how about the musical drop from Ruff Ryders at almost the same moment the security guard levels the Dodgers fan on one knee?
The proposal-gone-wrong had something for just about everyone.
Now we just need to find out if she said yes.
