Sean Dyche said he was "amazed" Everton were not awarded a second penalty against Nottingham Forest.
The Blues boss asked referee John Brooks why Seamus Coleman was not awarded a first half foul when he went down under contact from Jack Colback. Brooks told him he believed Coleman initiated the contact - a conclusion that left Dyche dumbfounded.
Everton had already scored a penalty at the time, Demarai Gray finishing from 12 yards after Jonjo Shelvey fouled Dwight McNeil inside the first 10 minutes at the City Ground. Everton led the game twice but a late Brennan Johnson goal forced a 2-2 draw.

Coleman had reached the byline when he went down under pressure from Colback, with replays showing contact between the players. The Blues captain was incensed the decision did not go in his favour as Everton hunted a lead after Johnson's first goal had cancelled out Gray's penalty. VAR did check the incident but the ECHO understands officials reached the same conclusion as Brooks - that Coleman had kicked Colback.
Speaking after the game, Dyche highlighted his confusion over the call, saying he was "amazed" it went against his side. He said: "I don't know what gets a penalty any more. You touch them on the shoulder and they go down and it is a penalty. Seamus clearly gets there, their lad puts his foot in front of him, kicks the back of his foot, but apparently that's not. I don't know where that lives."
Dyche added: "I asked the referee and he said he didn't think it was a penalty. I said 'well I don't know what is then because at the end of the day... he said he felt he [Coleman] has kicked the back of his [Colback's] foot and I said 'do you know why - because he put his foot in front of his foot... If you are on goal and you are going to shoot and the defender puts his foot in front of yours and you kick it, I'm telling you that is a penalty."
