"Do you hate us?!" Fans react as Taylor Swift snubs Manchester as she announces The Eras Tour dates

Angry fans have reacted after Taylor Swift announced the dates for her upcoming international tour - but snubbed Manchester.

The 'Shake It Off' hitmaker released the dates for her The Eras Tour on Tuesday afternoon (June 20) however, her fanbase quickly realised she had missed Manchester off the list and shared their disappointment on social media.

The nearest venue her Manchester-based fans will be able to see the 33-year-old singer at is Liverpool's Anfield Stadium on June 14 and 15 next year.

The UK and Europe leg of The Eras Tour will kick off on May 9 2024 in Paris and wrap up on 17 August 2024 in London. The Grammy-winning star will be bringing her Eras tour to UK cities including Liverpool, Cardiff and Edinburgh, as well as other European cities including Amsterdam, Lyon, Milan and Warsaw.

Following the announcement, fans took to social media to share their frustration, as @hollyhopkins_ questioned: "taylor swift do you hate manchester? do you hate us?!" as @HS1_ANGEL wrote: "NO MANCHESTER???? TAYLOR SWIFT COUNT YOUR DAYS."

piscesdoja_ posted: "wouldn’t even see taylor swift personally but the fact she doesn’t have a manchester date feels like a crime" as @hl_richards fumed: "TAYLOR SWIFT HOW DARE YOU NOT ANNOUNCE MANCHESTER DATES AND INSTEAD CHOOSE TO PLAY ANFIELD I AM SO ANGRY WITH YOU."

Other users waded in following the announcement, as @taylortbhh asked: "taylor swift. where is manchester. why have you forgot manchester" and @ilyspidermqn added: "No Manchester. I am DONE with Taylor Swift."

Tickets will go on sale for the UK and Ireland dates of The Eras Tour on Tuesday, July 18, 2023 for London, Wednesday, July 19, 2023 for Edinburgh, and Thursday, July 20, 2023 at 2pm for Liverpool and Cardiff, and fans will have to register to buy tickets at Taylor Swift's website ahead of them being on sale. However, registration does not guarantee access to the sale or to tickets.
