DN Exclusive VIDEO: Iɫ Minister Anurag Thakur in specific interview with Dynamite News in Parliament after passage of Women's Reservation Bill

New Delhi: After the Women's Reservation Bill was passed by the Rajya Sabha after the Lok Sabha, a pleasing and glistering scene was all around the Parliament House at midnight on Thursday. Immediately there after the Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur exclusively spoke to Dynamite News in the Parliament House. Anurag Thakur called the Women's Reservation Bill as a historic and momentous step towards the empowerment of women.

During the interview, it can be seen how Union Minister Smriti Irani expressed her joy by offering laddus to Union Minister Anurag Thakur as a mark of celebration of the passage of the Women's Reservation Bill.

Anurath Thakur, in an exclusive conversation with Dynamite News, said that this is a historic moment of our life. What no one else could do, Modi ji has done that. Alongwith women's welfare, this Bill will also develop more women leadership, he added.

He said with the implementation of this Bill, 33 percent reservation for women will be ensured in the Lower House/s of Parliament and State Assemblies.

In response to a question from Dynamite News, Thakur said that through this Bill, women will be able to play an active role in the policy formation of the country. He said the Women's Reservation Bill will ensure the definite role of women in the welfare of the poor and also in taking India forward.
