Djokovic vs Rublev live stream: How to watch Wimbledon quarter-final tennis online for free

Novak Djokovic stretches for a backhand

If this is to be Andrey Rublev's long-awaited grand slam moment, he's going to have to do it the hard way. Novak Djokovic is set to face the Russian on Centre Court today. Djokovic vs Rublev will be one of the first of the men's quarter-finals and is expected to start at around 10 a.m. ET / 3 p.m. BST.

Wimbledon is airing for FREE in some countries. But don't worry if you're on holiday while it's on because you can watch Djokovic vs Rublev live streams from anywhere with a VPN.

No.7 seed Rublev, who hwasn't allowed to compete at Wimbledon last year, has endeared himself to the crowd with some heroic shot-making. His diving winner to set up match point against Alexander Bublik was one of the most memorable highlights of the championship so far – possibly even the shot of the tournament.

He'd do well to get the crowd on his side for this clash against the defending champion. Djokovic's victory over world No.18 Hubert Hurkacz yesterday was, get this, his 43rd in a row on Centre Court, an astonishing run that stretches all the way back to 2014.

There's an equally mind-bending but slightly less uplifting stat about Rublev too. Despite long tipped for the top, the 25-year-old has never progressed beyond the quarter-finals stage of any grand slam. He's played seven previous quarter-finals and lost them all.

It's a barely comprehensible feat considering his near-continuous presence in the top 10 over the past few years. Until he gets over the block, he won't be viewed as a serious threat for major titles. Something that can't be said for Djokovic, whose masterful performances over the past week have once again made him the outright favorite for the Gentlemen's Singles Trophy.

How to watch the 2023 Djokovic vs Rublev live streams from anywhere with a VPN

A VPN, or virtual private network, makes it look as if you're surfing the web from your home country, rather than the one you're in. That means you can access the streaming services you already pay for, from anywhere on Earth. Or anywhere that has an internet connection, at least.

For instance, a Brit who's currently in the U.S. could watch Wimbledon – including the Djokovic vs Rublev live stream – on BBC iPlayer, even though they're not in the U.K.

They're totally legal, inexpensive and easy to use. We've tested lots of the best VPN services and our favorite right now is ExpressVPN. It's fast, works on loads of devices and even offers a 30-day money-back guarantee.

Using a VPN is incredibly simple.

1. Install the VPN of your choice. As we've said, ExpressVPN is our favorite.

2. Choose the location you wish to connect to in the VPN app. For instance if you're in the U.S. and want to view a U.K. service, you'd select U.K. from the list.

3. Sit back and enjoy the action. Head to BBC iPlayer and watch the Djokovic vs Rublev live stream.

Tennis fans in the U.S. will want ESPN to catch the Wimbledon live streams, including today's quarter-final clash featuring Novak Djokovic and Andrey Rublev.

The cable service will have extensive coverage from the All England Lawn Tennis Club on ESPN, ESPN2 and the ESPN Plus streaming service, while ABC will also broadcast some live matches. In total, there'll be 1,500 hours of action across all 18 courts, plus highlights and more.

ESPN is available through most cable packages as well as some of the best cable TV alternatives, including Sling TV, Fubo.TV, YouTube TV and Hulu with Live TV.

Our pick of these would be Sling TV. The Sling Orange package costs just $40 per month and comes with more than 30 channels including ESPN. Plus, right now Sling is offering new subscribers a $20 discount for the first month

Tennis Channel is available on both Sling TV (with the Sport Extra add-on) and Fubo.

Fubo costs $75 per month for 166 channels and includes ESPN and the Tennis Channel. It also offer a 7-day free trial.

If you already use those services but aren't in the U.S. right now, you can watch Wimbledon live streams by using a VPN such as ExpressVPN. And if, for whatever reason, you can't get it working, do remember that you have the comfort of a 30-day money back guarantee with ExpressVPN.
