Djibril Cisse names €100million signing he 'would love to see' Liverpool land

Djibril Cisse believes that Liverpool should be prepared to spend big on one of French football's rising stars this summer.

Jurgen Klopp is expected to overhaul parts of his squad at the end of the season following an underwhelming campaign that has seen the Reds languish outside of the Premier League top four, leaving their future Champions League qualification in serious doubt.

A number of out-of-contract players will likely exit Anfield in June as the Anfield boss makes room for new arrivals, with speculation continuing around the pursuit of Jude Bellingham and Mason Mount, but former Liverpool striker Cisse, who won both the Champions League and FA Cup under Rafa Benitez, believes his fellow countryman Randal Kolo Muani is a player who could make a real difference to any top team in Europe.

Speaking exclusively to Betting Sites, Cisse was asked if Liverpool should buy Kolo Muani from Frankfurt for €100m. Cisse said: “I’ve followed Kolo Muani in France, and I’ve been impressed as it’s all happened very quickly for him. In one/two seasons he’s shot up and now being talked about as being in the starting XI. Mentally that’s hard to deal with, but he’s doing well, scoring goals almost every game and being called up again for the national team.

“He’s the sort of player I’d love to see at Liverpool."

Kolo Muani has 11 goals and 10 assists in 24 Bundesliga matches for Eintracht Frankfurt this season, helping them to sixth in the table. The 24-year-old's cameos at the World Cup gave him global exposure and now he is considered to be one of the hottest properties in Europe.

Liverpool's focus this summer is expected to be on revitalising their midfield, but with Roberto Firmino leaving the club at the end of the season and Diogo Jota without a goal all campaign, a surprise move for Kolo Muani may not be a as far-fetched as it first seemed.
