Liverpool should make a raid on the capital this summer as they look to reinvigorate their stalling midfield ahead of a fresh assault on the Premier League.
That's the view of former Reds striker Djibril Cisse, who has identified West Ham United's Declan Rice as a 'serious partner' in the engine room for Jordan Henderson.
Liverpool are expected to make wholesale changes to their squad this summer following an underwhelming campaign which sees Jurgen Klopp's side struggling to qualify for next season's Champions League. But Cisse, who won the glittering trophy with Liverpool in 2005, has he eye on two London-based midfielders who could make a difference if they moved up north.

Speaking with Lord Ping, Cisse said: "Declan Rice is a top player who could bring something to the squad. However in the midfield I do like Jordan Henderson and wouldn’t want to rule him out. Perhaps Declan Rice and Jordan Henderson could be a serious partnership."
Rice has been linked by numerous outlets with a move to Anfield, along with his England team-mate Jude Bellingham. But another Three Lions star who is being tipped to make the switch to Merseyside is Mason Mount and Cisse would be happy with that acquisition as well.
The former France international added: "Mason Mount is a good young player with a bright future ahead of him. He will be good at any club that he joins - whether that is Liverpool or not we will have to wait and see."
