Former Nottingham Forest loanee Djed Spence has taken to social media to send a message to the club after his return to the City Ground on Sunday.
The right wing-back played a starring role in the Reds' promotion to the Premier League last season after joining on loan from Middlesbrough. Spence appeared 46 times in total for Steve Cooper's men, scoring three and providing five assists.
Forest were said to be in for Spence on a permanent deal earlier in the summer, but the 22-year-old ended up signing for Tottenham in a deal worth up to £20 million.

Spence made his debut for Antonio Conte's side on Sunday on his return to the City Ground after not featuring in their opening three games of the season after replacing Rodrigo Bentacur in the 90th minute. The England under-21s international was greeted by a standing ovation by the Forest faithful after entering proceedings and swapped shirts with Brennan Johnson after the game.
Following the game, Spence took to social media to thank the Forest faithful for their reception in a heartfelt message. Posting on his Instagram message, he said: "Thank you Reds for the reception yesterday, made the day even more special, thank you. Love you all, all the best for the season!"
