Djed Spence has unquestionably been one of Nottingham Forest's major stars this season after tearing up the Championship in a series of blistering performances.
Not only is he helping the Reds drive towards a promotion push, but his eye-catching displays are said to be attracting the interest of a host of huge clubs.
Just this week, Bayern Munich are reportedly the latest club to be showing an interest in the attacking full-back which comes on the back of interest from Spurs and Arsenal.
In a recent interview with the Athletic, Gunners winger Gabriel Martinelli underlined just how impressive Spence has been by snubbing a host of Premier League stars to say he was the toughest opponent he's faced this season.
Middlesbrough fans have watched with envy at how Spence's career has taken off at the City Ground having joined the club on loan in last summer's transfer window.
And the player himself may want to thank his old manager Neil Warnock for the career-changing decision that saw him end up at the Reds.
According to The Athletic, it has been claimed that from speaking to people in the north east, Boro had no qualms about sending him out on loan because for all of his talent he could be a disruptive influence.
Warnock, who was Middlesbrough's boss at the time, took the decision to grant an exit from Boro and reminded Spence that for all his talent he needed to knuckle down.
"I let him go. He needed to sort himself out, really," he explained in an interview with TalkSport.
"I basically said to him that you can go to the top or you can go non-league.
"I think Steve Cooper is the manager for him, to be honest. He has let him go forward more often, which suits his game."
And that advice from Warnock has certainly been taken on board by Spence who has now become one of the hottest properties in the Championship.
He is now flourishing at Forest which has put Spence on a path to stardom which could end in a life-changing move to the Premier League.
