The UK DIY industry is booming and has been ever since the first Covid lockdown. More and more homeowners are doing it themselves rather than calling in tradespeople, especially with the cost of living crisis developing into a catastrophe.
Last year, Kingfisher, the owner of B&Q and Screwfix announced pre-tax profits of £756m in the year to 31 March, up 634%. Growth is set to continue, with the global industry now worth close to £600billion.
The upcoming Queen's Platinum Jubilee four-day bank holiday will see thousands head to DIY outlets up and down the country, looking to make some home improvements in time for the summer. However, to avoid journeys to your local DIY branch resulting in you finding the doors closed, we've got the latest opening times for major chains.
