Jose Enrique has claimed that Divock Origi should seek a move away from Liverpool, before Monday’s transfer deadline.
Origi has six months left on his contract and Enrique, who played with the Belgium striker during his time at Anfield, believes his former teammate needs to move to a club where he can command regular first team football.
The 26-year-old has primarily been used as a deputy or as an impact substitute by Reds boss Jurgen Klopp .
However, despite his limited first team opportunities, Origi has established himself as a cult hero amongst Liverpool fans due to his crucial goals in their Champions League triumph in 2019, and numerous important strikes over the years.

But the Belgian striker is unlikely to break into Klopp’s preferred front three, and the signing of Colombia winger Luis Diaz has pushed him even further down the pecking order.
Enrique believes the time has now come for the Anfield ‘legend’ to leave and seek first team opportunities elsewhere.
“I love Origi and I played with him," Enrique said on Instagram .
“I got on really well with him. But I think it’s maybe time for him to move on to somewhere where he has regular football.
“He can play more games. It’s enough time for him to be on the bench. He is a legend of the club. He has done so much for us to have the titles that we have in the last few years.
“But I think it’s time for him to move on. The number nine, Diogo Jota and Firmino are going to play there before him.”
