Disturbing footage shows Scots youths racially abuse woman in park with vile slurs

Sickening footage has captured the moment a woman was subjected to a torrent of racist abuse at Glasgow Green.

The victim, who shared the footage on Instagram, was in the park on Saturday, June 27, when a gang of of youths made vile slurs towards her and her friends, who were wearing abayas, - a long-sleeved, floor-length garment often worn by Muslim women.

She began filming as two girls and one boy approached her and launched into the disturbing attack.

One girl wearing a blue dress with blonde hair can be heard saying: "Are you going to hit me with your bomb?"

Another with long-brown hair and a grey hoodie adds: "Go back home, you Isis b***h".

She then appears to be gleefully filming the racist attack.

The girls also call the woman an "Isis b*****d", a "N****r" and

One male in the group says: "Please bomb me" and mimics an Asian accent, saying: "You blood stupid".

Another girl, also wearing a blue dress, with long brown hair can be seen in the video, but she doesn't participate and walks away. The victim later said on her Instagram story that this girl has apologised for her friends' behaviour.

Sharing the video to her profile, the woman abused by the group wrote: "Racially attacked by horrible girls in Glasgow green yesterday, they started shouting when my friends and I were waking past.

"They began to make Islamophobic remakes toward my friends wearing abayas. Absolutely disappointed #peoplemakeglasgow."

Many have been left outraged by the behaviour seen in the footage, which has been viewed over 300,000 times in less than 24 hours.

Mia Barrera said: "They are simply projecting their own self hate onto you and it’s grim to watch let alone be on the receiving end of it. I’m sorry this happened and I hope you can disregard their disgusting remarks beautiful girl."

Tammy wrote: "So sorry this happened to you, beautiful girl."

Olivia Cardosi added: "So, so, so embarrassing."

Nalala posted: "’m so sorry this is unacceptable."

Holly Lambton said: "That’s so vile."

Police Scotland did not have a record of the incident.
