Distraught sister appeals to the public to help find missing woman

The sister of a missing woman from Didsbury has said her family is 'extremely concerned' as she appealed for information about her sibling's whereabouts. The last confirmed sighting of missing Fizza Ahmed, who is 5ft 2in with black hair and wears glasses, was on Thursday, March 31.

Yesterday Greater Manchester Police made a public appeal for anyone with information to get in touch and today (Saturday) her family made their own appeal, and they published new pictures of her in a bid to locate Fizza.

Fizza was last seen on Davenfield Grove at around 6pm on Thursday, March 31, although there was a potential sighting of her on Princess Parkway, near to Hough End playing fields, yesterday (Friday, April 1).

She is described as being 5ft 2in tall and of a slim build with black hair which is usually tied up. She has brown eyes and wears and glasses. Fizza was last seen wearing a black jacket, black bottoms and black wellington boots.

She requires medication and it is not believed she has any with her. Without it, Fizza may become disorientated, according to Greater Manchester Police.

Fizza's sister Nazish said: "We are extremely concerned about our sister Fizza, if anyone has any information however little or insignificant it make seem, please contact the police."

Anyone with information about Fizza's whereabouts is asked to contact police on 0161 856 6086. In an emergency, always dial 999.
