The distraught family of a missing Scots man have begged him 'just to get a taxi home' two weeks on from his disappearance.
Barry McCullagh went missing from Paisley's Royal Alexandra Hospital on Wednesday October 5, days after he suffered a seizure and began hallucinating. The last sighting of the 40-year-old was on nearby Corsebar Road at around 5.20pm.
He has not been seen or heard from since. Barry's worried family have re-appealed to the public for information in a desperate bid to trace him.
In a statement released through Police Scotland, his loved ones have urged anybody who may know his whereabouts to come forward.
The statement reads: "Barry, if you can see this message, please, please come home. You are not in any trouble.
"Just get a taxi home from wherever you are and we will pay the fare when you get here. We just want you home safe and well - we love you loads.
"We would appeal to anyone who may know of Barry's whereabouts to please contact police."
Extensive inquiries are ongoing to trace Barry and a large police presence will remain in the area as searches continue. He is described as as 5ft 9in in height, of a medium build and with short, black hair.
When last seen, he was wearing navy jogging trousers, a black jumper with a zip, and silver trainers.
Chief Inspector Damian Kane, area commander for Renfrewshire, said: "Almost two weeks have passed since Barry was last seen and his family remain extremely concerned about him. From our inquiries, we know the last sighting of Barry was around 5.20pm on Wednesday, 5 October, 2022 near to the Royal Alexandra Hospital, on Corsebar Road.
"If you were in the area at the time, please think back, did you notice anyone matching his description?
"If anyone has seen Barry, or has any information as to his whereabouts, please contact police as a matter of urgency. We do not believe Barry will have travelled far and would again urge people who live in the area to check outbuildings and sheds."
